The new regional managing director for the south ‘lives and breathes’ broking, GRP said

GRP has announced a managerial reshuffle, bringing in broker industry veteran Stuart Grieb as regional managing director for the south.

Grieb, who has worked at Marsh, Towergate, Brightside and Willis, replaces Chris Haggart. who in turn takes on a broader role in the retail part of the business, including overseeing the company’s digital proposition, performance optimisation and ”organic growth initiatives”, GRP said.

Grieb will work with GRP’s hubs: Greens (South East), Alan & Thomas (South), Higos (South West), as well as TIL, TIL Southend, Shearwater and HNW broker Gauntlet.

GRP chief executive Mike Bruce said the broker ”sets as much store by organic growth as we do acquisitions”.

”These roles will amplify our focus on driving growth and building out our integrated client proposition, which now includes healthcare following our recent acquisition of Premier Choice Healthcare in June.”

Bruce said Haggart - who joined GRP two years ago as commercial director - is taking on an important group-wide role. ”I am confident that he will bring about a further boost to our organic growth,” he added.

“We have worked hard during the last three years to drive performance improvements across the business from both our integrated client proposition and our unique data-led platform, which both provides our insurer partners with leading edge analytics and identifies development opportunities for new products to improve client servicing,” Bruce said.

Grieb, who Bruce said “lives and breathes broking” will give GRP renewed impetus within its Southern footprint.

Grieb said in a statement that ”following the pandemic, clients will more than ever look to their broker for advice and support to help them through challenging economic times”.
