What was your insurance industry highlight of 2025?

My insurance industry highlight of 2025 has been working alongside my new team in the midlands, south west and Wales.
Watching them achieve more than 40% growth in new business compared to 2024 – despite a challenging market – has been truly inspiring.
Their dedication, teamwork and drive to exceed expectations proved that with the right culture and support, remarkable results are possible.
Together, we navigated uncertainty and built strong relationships with our customers.
This year has been unforgettable, especially as we were awarded a five-star rating for our eTrading capabilities by Insurance Times.
I’m excited for what we can achieve together in 2026.
What is your Christmas message for your insurance colleagues?
Wishing all my insurance colleagues a wonderful Christmas and a well-deserved break.
It has been an exciting year, pushing us to work with agility and focus on relationship which is the key to our success.
Across the industry, everyone has shown true dedication to delivering great outcomes for our customers and partners.
I feel fortunate to be part of an industry that champions growth, innovation and new opportunities.
Let’s take time to celebrate what we’ve achieved and enjoy special moments with our loved ones, so we can all come back re-energised for the fun that 2026 will bring!
What do you hope to find under the industry’s Christmas tree for 2026?
This year, we’ve made great strides in attracting a new generation of talent to our industry.
It’s inspiring to see increasing focus on social mobility, inclusivity and diversity – helping people from all backgrounds realise insurance is a place to thrive.
Becoming the youngest ever head of regional is something I’m proud of and I hope it shows age isn’t a barrier to success.
Let’s dispel the myth that insurance is boring.
By shining a light on opportunity, we can inspire future generations to pursue fulfilling, exciting careers where everyone has the chance to succeed.
