Sue Coffey

I think we’ve demonstrated to our brokers that we’re there for them in difficult times, working together to jointly tackle some of the issues the market is facing.

We’ve continued to be open and engage with them about the changes we’ve been making. This approach started with Covid and is now even stronger.

We’ve now got more touchpoints than ever before and this has helped build genuine understanding on both sides about what needs to happen to deliver for our customers and to generate sustainable profitable premium income.

What do you think makes you stand out as a personal lines insurer this year?

The market is proving tough for everyone, but I think our approach sets us apart and we’ve found brokers very supportive of us because of that.

We don’t take anything for granted and we’ve actively increased our broker engagement, holding events to work together with brokers to address market challenges such as the cost of living crisis and Consumer Duty regulations.

When things get difficult, it’s about being there for our brokers, being open and transparent and being true to our customer service commitment.

What would winning this award mean to you and your firm?

We’d love to win the award as would be fantastic recognition for our people and all the hard work they’ve been doing.

In such a challenging year, coming out on top would be a huge accolade, but whatever happens, we’re incredibly proud of our people and can’t thank our brokers enough for their amazing ongoing support.
