Roi Amir, chief executive at Sprout.ai, explains his firm’s entry to the Excellence in AI – Service Provider category
1. Why did you put yourselves forward for the category?
At Sprout.ai, we believe AI has the potential to fundamentally improve how insurance claims are processed and decided.

We put ourselves forward to demonstrate how purpose-built AI can deliver measurable results in a real world insurance environment.
Our platform applies AI across the claims journey, from understanding complex documents and extracting information to checking coverage and supporting claims decisioning.
With more than 10 million claims processed through our platform, we’re demonstrating how AI can help insurers improve speed, consistency and accuracy while maintaining the governance and human oversight the industry demands.
2. What do you think makes your entry stand out and why should you win the award?
What makes our entry stand out is our focus on applying AI to the decisions that determine claims outcomes, not just automating administrative tasks.
Our intelligent policy checking solution analyses policy wording, exclusions, endorsements and limits, providing explainable recommendations with supporting references.
Integrated directly into existing claims workflows like Guidewire ClaimCenter, it helps insurers adopt AI without replacing their core systems.
Customers can achieve 65%+ straight-through processing across our platform, while intelligent policy checking reduces policy checking time by approximately 45% and identifies over 30% more non-covered cases. This demonstrates the measurable impact of practical, purpose-built AI.
3. What would winning this award mean to you and your firm?
Winning would be a fantastic recognition of the work our team is doing to make AI genuinely useful for the insurance industry.
We combine deep insurance expertise with advanced AI to help insurers make faster, more consistent and more supported claims decisions.
Seeing this work recognised would reinforce our belief that AI should improve outcomes, not simply automate existing processes.
It would also recognise the progress we’re making with customers, from processing more than 10 million claims through our platform to bringing AI directly into claims workflows through integrations such as Guidewire.
Most importantly, it would motivate us to keep raising the standard for intelligent claims decisioning.
