‘He will be well placed to lead our risk and regulatory functions into the next phase of Ki’s growth,’ says chief executive
Ki has appointed former Aegis London chief actuary Adam O’Reilly as its new chief risk officer, strengthening its risk and regulatory leadership as the algorithmic Lloyd’s platform continues to expand.

O’Reilly joins Ki after more than 20 years in the insurance market and will lead the actuarial, compliance, legal and risk teams. He will report to Ki chief executive Mark Allan.
At Aegis London, O’Reilly oversaw the firm’s actuarial function, covering pricing, reserving and capital, alongside its data science and analytics team. He was also a member of the executive committee.
Commenting on O’Reilly’s appointment, Allan said: “His depth of technical knowledge and extensive Lloyd’s market experience across all major lines will make him a valuable addition to the team.”
Digital growth
The appointment comes as Ki continues to develop its algorithmic underwriting model, which allows brokers to quote and bind certain Lloyd’s risks digitally.

“As we continue to grow and accelerate the development of our algorithmic underwriting capabilities, he will be well placed to lead our risk and regulatory functions into the next phase of Ki’s growth, allowing us to further innovate and champion digital trading in the Lloyd’s market,” Allan said.
