’Her extensive experience and board-level perspective makes her the ideal person,’ says chief executive officer

The Lloyd’s Market Association (LMA) has appointed Elizabeth Jenkin as its new underwriting director, effective 9 October 2023.

Jenkin will report to LMA’s chief executive officer Sheila Cameron and replaces Patrick Davison.

She will bring over 23 years of experience to her new role, including a 19 year tenure at Aon.

At Aon, Jenkin joined as a director before being made chief broking officer in 2016. She then left Aon in 2018 to join RFIB Group, before leaving in 2020.

Jenkin also holds a position as an independent non-executive director at Gallagher.

Influencing change

A statement explained that she would “play a key part” in working with the Corporation of Lloyd’s, LMA’s members and the Lloyd’s market in “offering a unique and unparalleled contribution to influence change in the marketplace”.

Cameron commented: “I am delighted to welcome Elizabeth to the LMA. Her extensive experience and board-level perspective makes her the ideal person to work with Lloyd’s and the LMA at such a pivotal time for our members, the managing and members’ agents community.”

Commenting on her appointment, Jenkin added: “Under the leadership of Sheila and the wider executive team, the LMA facilitates success for the marketplace.

“I am both privileged and excited to be part of the mission to make the market a better place and I look forward to leading the Underwriting Team to continue to provide our membership with excellent support, advice and guidance.”
