Lonmar Global Risks (Lonmar) has appointed experienced financial lines broker David Doleman as its new divisional director in financial lines and specialty.

Lonmar is part of Global Risk Partners which is continuing the development of its financial and speciality lines team and growth plans.

Doleman is the second hire announced by the team this month. He will be reporting to executive director Karen Allen.

Allen said, “It’s really exciting to have Doleman on board. He brings broad financial lines experience across many territories, and he also brings great energy to the team.

“I am looking forward to working with him to navigate client challenges with creative solutions. It’s no doubt David will be instrumental in achieving our long-term growth ambitions.”

Before joining Lonmar, Doleman spent more than seven years with Butcher, Robinson and Staples International Ltd where he was a financial lines broker.

He initially began his career in 2008 as a broker with Harel (UK) Ltd, where he placed and managed accounts for risks in a range of classes into the London and international facultative insurance and reinsurance markets with a specific focus on financial lines.

Speaking about his new role, Doleman said: “I am very excited to be joining Lonmar and the GRP Group at such a key time in the market. I look forward to helping the financial and specialty lines team grow the current portfolio across a broad array of products and increase our presence in the sector as well as developing relationships with new clients.

“Providing clients with the very best levels of service will be at the forefront of our approach in order to help them navigate the challenging conditions of the hard market within financial lines.”
