’I’m delighted to be leading the talented team forward,’ says appointee

PIB Group-owned Cobra Network has announced that Jo Russell will succeed Andy Tedstone as chief executive.

Russell has worked at Cobra Network for the past six years, playing a key role in shaping its strategy and growth.

Most recently, she served as director of sales and marketing. Prior to this, she was chief operations officer.

Russell said: “Cobra Network is at such an exciting phase in its growth journey and I’m delighted to be leading the talented team forward. Over the past two decades the business has gone from strength to strength, and there’s still so much untapped potential as we scale.

”I would like to thank Tedstone for his leadership and contribution to Cobra Network and wish him every success in his next chapter. It has been a pleasure to work alongside him and help shape the business over the past six years.

“For our members, insurer partners and suppliers, it is very much business as usual. Our priorities are unchanged, and the good work already underway will continue. The partnerships we have developed across the team are central to our proposition and the support we provide. I look forward to building on those relationships.”

Tedstone departure

Tedstone has led Cobra Network as chief executive since 2019, having joined PIB Group in 2017 to oversee strategic insurer relationships and the group’s broking and placement strategy.

He is departing to take on a new role elsewhere.

Tedstone said: “Leaving Cobra Network has not been an easy decision. I am immensely proud of what we have achieved together and grateful to everyone who has supported us along the way. I leave knowing the business is in hugely capable hands.

“Russell has been instrumental in developing the network and knows the businesses inside out. I have every confidence that she and the team will build on our achievements and take Cobra Network forward.”
