’Her appointment reflects the importance of product and technology to PPL’s next phase of growth and our continued focus on delivering solutions for the London market,’ says chief executive
Placing Platform (PPL) has appointed Rebecca Drummond as chief product and technology officer.

The newly created role brings together product, engineering and delivery under a single leadership team structure, with a remit to further accelerate the development and delivery of trading tools and data to the London insurance market.
Drummond takes up the role after joining PPL in March 2026 as its chief of staff and as a member of the executive leadership team.
The appointment follows the recent launch of PPL’s initial trading console and service benchmark intelligence products, in which the business continues to broaden its trading propositions.
Jason Mason, chief executive at PPL, said: “Drummond brings a commanding combination of strategic leadership, deep product and technology experience and a strong background of delivering complex transformation.
“Her appointment reflects the importance of product and technology to PPL’s next phase of growth and our continued focus on delivering solutions for the London market.”
‘Significant opportunity’
Prior to joining the platform provider, Drummond had held senior leadership roles at the London Stock Exchange, where she led product, engineering and data organisations and large-scale technology and business transformation for over five years.
