Peach appoints former Travelers manager to delegated authority role

Commercial lines specialist insurer Peach has appointed Helen Doyle as senior delegated portfolio underwriter as it looks to expand its delegated authority proposition.

Doyle is based in St Albans and will report to Nick Dinsdale, director of underwriting for Peach. She brings 18 years of insurance industry experience to the role, including 14 years specialising in commercial lines underwriting.

Most recently, Doyle served as SME underwriting manager for Travelers Europe, where she supported the growth of eTrade products through product development, optimisation and underwriting referrals.

Prior to this, she was SME product and channel leader for Covéa Insurance.

Delegated authority growth

Peach said the appointment formed part of its wider growth strategy as it seeks to strengthen its underwriting capabilities and expand its delegated authority operations.

Doyle holds a diploma in insurance and has experience across delegated authority, SME property and casualty business, portfolio management and data analytics.

Dinsdale said Doyle’s background would support Peach’s next phase of development.

“This appointment is an important step as we continue to build out our delegated authority proposition,” he said.

“Her depth of experience across SME property and casualty lines, combined with her track record in portfolio management and data-led underwriting, will be a real asset to the team as we grow.”

Doyle added that she was looking forward to helping develop the insurer’s delegated portfolio proposition.

The appointment follows a period of growth for Peach as it continues to invest in underwriting expertise and delegated authority capabilities.
