’This exciting expansion is a natural evolution given our mature and established media, technology and cyber portfolio, and makes us even more relevant with our London and international partners,’ says chairman
Specialty MGA Nirvana has appointed Kevin Kettrick as cyber lead for London as it looks to expand its cyber offering.

The appointment comes during a period of growth for the MGA, which merged with UK-based Pulse Insurance earlier this year, acquired Arena NV in 2025 and agreed a deal in July 2026 to acquire Ryan C&S, the Swedish public sector division of Ryan Nordics.
Kettrick brings more than 25 years of London market experience to the role, including 15 years underwriting SME and mid-market cyber risks.
He previously co-founded Ptarmigan Underwriting, which was sold to Gallagher in 2022, and most recently founded specialist cyber MGA Clovasure.
In his new role, Kettrick will initially focus on writing excess cyber business before developing a primary cyber product later this year.
Natural extension
Commenting on the news, Kettrick said: “I’m delighted to be joining such a growing and dynamic operation as Nirvana, who have rightfully earned a stellar reputation in the media liability field as well as a long-established mid-market presence for combined technology and cyber.

“I look forward to bolstering Nirvana’s current stand-alone cyber offering in the marketplace, working with brokers and agents new and old, and playing a key role in Nirvana’s ambitious global growth strategy going forward.”
Rob Jones, chairman and head of media, technology and cyber for Nirvana, said the appointment represented a natural extension of the MGA’s existing portfolio.
“We are delighted to be partnering with Kettrick and adding his experience, expertise and relationships to the group,” he said.
“This exciting expansion is a natural evolution given our mature and established media, technology and cyber portfolio, and makes us even more relevant with our London and international partners.”
The move is the latest step in Nirvana’s strategy to broaden its underwriting capabilities, with the MGA seeking to build on its existing media, technology and cyber portfolio through the development of a stronger stand-alone cyber proposition.
