HDI Global UK and Ireland appoints active underwriter for Lloyd’s Syndicate 2029

HDI Global UK and Ireland has appointed Louise Radford as active underwriter for Lloyd’s Syndicate 2029.

In her new role, Radford will have overall responsibility for the syndicate’s underwriting strategy, portfolio performance, regulatory compliance and risk appetite.

Currently head of financial lines at the insurer, Radford will continue to lead this team alongside her new responsibilities and report to Adam Curran, chief underwriting officer for specialty.

‘Exciting stage’

The appointment follows the insurer’s recent approval in principle from Lloyd’s to establish a new syndicate.

Serving at HDI for over six years, Radford joined the firm as a senior underwriter in its management liability team in 2020 and has prior experience in broking and in the London market.
