Stewart Steel moves on to head up the firm’s Continental Europe and EMEA divisions

Sedgwick has announced a new chief executive of its UK business as the loss adjuster undergoes an international restructure.

Current UK deputy CEO, Paul White, has been appointed UK CEO and will lead the UK operations. His predecessor Stewart Steel has been promoted to CEO of Continental Europe, Middle East & Africa (CEMEA), a new combined operating division created to consolidate the firm’s efforts in Europe and beyond.

Steel had been CEO of UK Middle East and Africa and had been charged with the integration of Sedgwick’s UK operations following the acquisition of Cunningham Lindsey in April 2018.

As part of the management reshuffle Neil Gibson, currently managing director of home claims & liability claim services of Sedgwick UK, has been appointed COO, Sedgwick UK.

Ian Muress, Sedgwick’s CEO of international operations commented: “Paul is ideally suited to lead and drive the Sedgwick UK business to the next level, building on the integration successfully completed over the last 18 months.”
