Insurance Times rounds up the most significant appointments, hires and leadership developments from 16 to 20 March 2026
First up on the top people moves this week is Markerstudy’s appointment of Glen Ward as group chief financial officer.

Joining from his position as group finance director at Admiral, Ward will report to chief executive Kevin Spencer.
Next on the list is Gallagher’s appointment of Angela James as the new chief commercial officer in its specialty division.
Expected to join in early 2027, James will work closely with Gallagher Specialty’s chief executive Sarah Lyons and the specialist practice leaders to drive the commercial strategy and growth of the division.
Then, Markel announced Joanne Foreman as head of broker change and Laura Fox as its new head of distribution strategy.
Foreman and Fox join Charlotte Harrison, who was recently promoted internally to head of strategic sales and relationships, as the insurer looks to grow its UK broker distribution and change capability.
Then, MGA Rokstone made three senior promotions, with Nadine Kearney joining its board of directors in the newly created role of global chief underwriting and risk officer.
As a result, Robin Ungless will fill Kearney’s role as the new chief underwriting officer for specialty, while head of underwriting management Martin Thomas has been promoted to the role of global chief operating officer.
Finally, Brokerslink announced that current executive chair at Price Forbes, James Kalbassi, will be the new representative of Ardonagh on its board of directors.
This follows the announcement that Antony Erotocritou will step down as representative of Ardonagh on the board.
