Gallagher has appointed Angela James as chief commercial officer of its specialty division.
James will work closely with Sarah Lyons, chief executive at Gallagher Specialty, and the specialist practice leaders to drive the commercial strategy and growth of the division.
She is expected to join in early 2027.
Lyons said: ”As the size and breadth of Gallagher Specialty continues to grow we want to ensure that our offering is the best in the market and James will work with our existing teams to support the evolution of our client proposition.”
Experience
James will join Gallagher from Aon, where she has worked since 2022, most recently as chief broking officer in its wholesale and specialty operations.

Prior to this, James held several property focused roles at WTW.

His career began in 2019, when he joined a local north London newspaper after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a first-class honours degree in journalism.
