Markerstudy said it was unable to secure the stand it had hoped for
Biba chief executive Graeme Trudgill has said that Markerstudy is still “great friends of Biba” following the firm deciding not to exhibit at this year’s conference.
The Biba Conference is held at Manchester Central annually and Markerstudy has often stood out at the event with its flamboyant themes.
However, in a statement sent to Insurance Times, the firm said it was unable to secure the stand it had hoped for in 2025.
A spokesperson said: “Unfortunately, this year we were unable to secure the larger footprint and prominent position near the front of Manchester Central that we had hoped for.”
Trudgill told Insurance Times that despite not exhibiting, there will still be around 20 representatives from Markerstudy attending the conference.
He added: “They are great friends of Biba – we’ve worked with them on a few issues in recent times.
“If it is not their year to exhibit within the exhibition that’s entirely understandable – not everyone can exhibit every year.
“We will welcome those that are still coming along.”
Own exhibition
While Markerstudy is not exhibiting at the conference, it has decided to host its own event in Manchester, named “Biba Buzz”.

Markerstudy’s event will go ahead on 14 May 2025, the same day the Biba conference opens, at The Bridgewater Hall, opposite Manchester Central.
It will be open from 10am-3pm.
A Markerstudy spokesperson said: “We look forward to welcoming all our clients and partners in Manchester next month.”

His career began in 2019, when he joined a local north London newspaper after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a first-class honours degree in journalism.
He took up the position of deputy news editor at Insurance Times in March 2023, before being promoted to his current role in May 2024.View full Profile
