Willis has appointed Andy Chang as growth leader for its global direct and facultative business.

In his new role, Chang will lead business development and provide strategic guidance to clients and prospects throughout Willis and across the globe, collaborating closely with regional leaders and teams across North America, Europe, London, Asia Pacific and other international markets.
He will help clients shape informed go-to-market strategies and achieve an effective balance between risk transfer, risk retention and risk mitigation, while strengthening relationships with insurance markets and supporting innovation across the business.
Chang will report to Garret Gaughan, global head of direct and facultative.
Gaughan said: “Chang’s specialist expertise and leadership in managing complex risk portfolios make him an outstanding addition to our team.
“His deep industry knowledge, strong relationships and global perspective will enhance our ability to deliver exceptional solutions for large and complex clients, while supporting the continued growth of our direct and facultative business.”
Experience
Chang will join the broker from his position as head of alternative distribution at Aon, which he had held since 2022.

Prior to this, Chang has served as head of facultative for the Middle East at Marsh and chief operating officer at Lloyd’s (re)insurance broker KM Dastur.
