Sophie Snook hired to head new division

Niche motor broker DNA Insurance Services has hired Sophie Snook to lead its new property owners’ insurance division.

She joins DNA from Alan Blunden and Company where she was assistant manager with responsibility for its caravan, let property and commercial accounts.

DNA’s new property owners’ division will focus on placing buy-to-let, holiday home and commercial premises risks.

DNA director Alf Costa said: “Launching a property owners’ division is a logical step in the development of DNA as this often non-standard business requires the same flexible broking approach as our long established niche motor book.

“We believe Sophie’s market experience will enable us to quickly build a significant and profitable account.

“With the majority of financial intermediaries and advisers predicting an increase in buy to let mortgages this year we want to be ready to provide flexible insurance cover for these new investors as well as experienced landlords.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
