David Warne set to develop the 'bluewater' marine arm of the business
Newman Martin and Buchan (NMB), the Lloyd's broker, has appointed David Warne as a director of its marine division.
Warne, who was at Willis Group for 26 years prior to joining NMB in May, has spent his career specialising in marine hull insurance. He will be working alongside fellow director Patrick Atkins to continue the development of the 'bluewater' marine arm of the business.
Mike Beagley, managing director of NMB's marine division, commented: "We are delighted to have David join us as he has a wealth of experience in his sector, which fits well with our reputation for expertise and service delivery.
"David's appointment complements our existing team while allowing us to capitalise on his specialist knowledge of the marine hull industry."
