The terms of business agreements (Tobas) article (News, 10 February) paints a rather bleaker picture than actually exists.
My company, which is the service company for Syndicate 386 at Lloyd's, produced its Tobas in accordance with the FSA timetable and we also provided our brokers with a clear steer on how we would deal with the risk transfer issue.
I am pleased to say that the relationship with our brokers has been cordial, and indeed, we have received positive feedback on our Toba's content and clarity and helpful suggestions on how it can be further improved.
It is distressing to consider that regional brokers be denied access to the Lloyd's market and I can assure you that it is not true in respect of both the Lloyd's and independent brokers that make up our network.
