Claims Direct's founders and major shareholders Colin Poole and Tony Sullman have made an official offer to buy out the company's remaining shareholders.

They have submitted an offer of 10p a share, which is below Claims Direct's current share price of 12.5p, and values the company at £11m.

Sullman and Poole, who own 42.9% of Claims Direct's shares, have formed a new company, Barker Securities, for the purpose of making the offer.

Independent directors David Hickey and David Hankinson are expecting Sullman and Poole to issue a formal offer document and have urged Claims Direct shareholders to take no action at this stage.
