Fleet risk management firm Drive & Survive said that of 20,000 occupational drivers tested on its online driver assessment programme, only 32% would be classified as ‘low risk’.
It said 28% if those driving at work were classed as ‘high risk’, meaning further safety training was needed.
Drive & Survive launched its online risk assessment in December. It said the results had shown that 57% of those driving at work regularly drove during the second highest risk period of the day, between 8pm and midnight. 19% regularly drove between 4am and 6am, the highest risk period of the day.
The assessment also found that 32% of those taking part had not had an eye test within the last two years.
