Broker signs up to IT giant

Fresh! Insurance is now live with Open GI having completed a full scale transfer of its trading system from previous supplier, CDL.

The broker, known for its online brands - Ladybird Insurance for women and First Insurance for men - has signed a four year contract with Open GI.

The deal includes Open GI’s core back-office system and new products such as Open-i, OpenWord and OpenAttach – all of which are now in use by the company’s 100 plus staff.

Lisa McPherson, managing director, Fresh! Insurance, said: “In a call centre / web environment, technical support and service are absolutely vital. The nature of Open GI’s core system and e-commerce solutions means we don’t have to worry about any performance issues or major increases in web traffic.

“Open GI offers a highly powerful quote engine that can handle huge quote volumes. The system also has a robust accounting package and easy to control document production functionality – essential in today’s busy market. We look forward to building a strong partnership and to taking advantage of the cost effective solutions the company provides.

“The commitment to service and attention we’ve received to date from Open GI staff has been outstanding.”

Simon Hughes, sales and marketing director, Open GI, said: “Fresh! is one of a growing number of call centre / web brokers who have migrated to Open GI from other suppliers in recent months.

"They recognise the importance of the Internet in today’s highly competitive market and the requirement to be able to react quickly to win business. We are pleased to be at the heart of their development plans.

"There is a great deal of opportunity online and we will continue to help brokers exploit this by developing new and innovative technology.”
