Prudential plc has announced that Roberto Mendoza will be retiring from the board of the company, following the annual general meeting to be held on 17 May 2007, after seven years of service.

Mendoza joined the board of Prudential in May 2000 as a non-executive director and, from 2002 to 2006, he acted as chairman of the remuneration committee. He was also non-executive Chairman of Egg plc from its flotation in 2000 to its de-listing in 2006.

David Clementi, chairman Prudential plc, said: “Roberto has been an invaluable member of the Board for seven years, during which there have been significant changes to the Group. I would like to thank him for his significant contribution as a non-executive director.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
