Royal & SunAlliance (R&SA) has launched a small hotels product as part of the expansion of its small business trading platform for brokers.
The launch is the first of a suite of products that rolls out in the coming months as part of the insurer's small business assault on the SME market, according to R&SA chief executive Duncan Boyle (see News page 6).
The product, which caters for small hotels, guesthouses and B&Bs with a maximum of 20 bedrooms, was launched this week following a pilot with five brokers.
R&SA small business and e-business director Simon Cooter said the insurer anticipated having "in excess" of 1,000 new policyholders for the small hotels product by the end of 2005, representing a "seven figure" GWP.
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
