Royal & SunAlliance (R&SA) has announced a deal with Caravan Guard, to provide caravan, motorhome and holiday home cover to its customers.

R&SA said the five-year deal will bring over 35,000 policyholders under its wing.

David Greaves, schemes business manager at R&SA, said: "We have been working with Caravan Guard on their motorhome scheme for the last three years, and we are delighted that they have agreed to sign up to a five year deal with us, not only for their motorhome business, but for their entire product range including caravan and trailer tent insurance. We see this as an excellent growth opportunity."

Caravan Guard's marketing director, Chris Nettleton, said: "Caravan Guard aims to double GWP by 2010 through an aggressive development strategy, which includes the creation of a second call centre and increased workforce, the launch of online quote and buy, increased marketing budgets and growth through diversification into new markets. The strength of the relationship with Royal & SunAlliance and their proactive stance has led to this move for all Caravan Guard accounts".
