Managing director Giles Ford said the company was "highly acquisitive", and was targeting brokers with sub-£3m books of gross written premiums.

"There will be a great many brokers for sale once the FSA starts asking proper questions," said Ford.

The company is also piloting online policy management, to allow policyholders to amend policy details.

The facility is being piloted for fleet motor policies, with a roll-out planned for the summer. "We would like to extend this to other simple policies," said Ford.
