Specialist motor trade insurer Road Runner has extended its cover for part-time motor traders to include their second business or trade.
The additional benefit is available under Road Runner's road risks policy on a comprehensive and third party fire and theft basis.
Mike Slack, the insurer's managing director, said the dual occupation extension recognises the increasing demand for flexible cover for those working part-time in different trades.
Acceptable second trades covered by the policy include carpenters, plumbers, landlords and teachers. Spouses can also benefit from the extended cover.
However, certain trades are excluded from the policy enhancement, among them mini-cab operators and higher-risk trades such as road hauliers.
