Insurer set for bid

RSA will bid to insure the world’s largest windfarm situated off the coast of Kent.

Ken Norgove, who headed up RSA’s renewable energy division before moving to SME director last year, said the insurer had around 66% of the offshore wind market.

He said: “We have a really strong relationship with the manufacturer.

We have worked with them for 25 years in a pretty collaborative approach. We understand the technology and construction which means we can underwrite this business profitably.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
