SBJ Group has acquired the pension trustee training business of Comberford trustee services.

SBJ Group, the insurance broking and consulting group, has acquired the pension trustee training business of Comberford trustee services.

Consideration for the transaction was not disclosed. Comberford is a provider of bespoke, specialised, pension scheme trustee training having delivered this to trustees of over 80 different schemes.

Commenting on the acquisition, Peter Gray, chairman of SBJ benefit consultants said: “The acquisition of Comberford's pension trustee training business, in conjunction with the trading name Comberford Pension Fund Services, will further enhance our comprehensive range of consultancy, actuarial and administration services for pension schemes. We are experiencing an increasing demand for trustee training due to recent pensions legislation and Comberford's expertise will strengthen our ability to deliver this service.”

Paul Larner, managing director of Comberford, said: “We have been working closely with SBJ for several years now in providing combined training services. I am satisfied that our new partnership will add to and extend the range of training courses provided for our clients and SBJ's.”
