SBJ Group has bought the entire share capital of E Nugent Linaker & Co and its subsidiaries for an undisclosed sum.
Commercial insurance broker Linaker, which employs 58 staff, will join with SBJ's corporate risks broker, SBJ UK, to strengthen its presence in the South West. Linaker currently operates offices in Bristol and Plymouth.
George Boden, SBJ Group's chief executive, said: "SBJ has grown strongly through acquisition and recruitment in each of its main business streams. The acquisition of Linaker marks our first move in the UK corporate risks sector. We will continue to expand the group by acquiring companies and businesses which share our vision by providing first class advisory, negotiation and administration services to clients."
Linaker specialises in insurance for owners of tenanted domestic properties, residential flat management companies and sports and leisure.
