Insurance Times rounds up the biggest exclusive stories from 30 June to 4 July 2025
To kick off the week, data reporter George McDade took a deep dive into Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) data, exploring how British roads have changed over the last 30 years and how this has affected the insurance industry.
Next, as July began, reporter Harriet Scott wrote on the talent challenges being experienced in the loss adjuster subsector – commentators told her that talent linked issues were a “vicious cycle” in this specific part of the market.
McDade revealed a second bout of exclusive data this week too, sharing the latest results from the quarterly Insurance Times Schemes Index, produced in association with broker schemes software provider SchemeServe. He found that while scheme growth continues year-on-year, the momentum of this trend is decelerating.
Keeping on the theme of data, another big exclusive this week came from contributor Matt Scott, who revealed the results of Insurance DataLab’s annual MGA Performance Report 2025, sharing unique insights that are only available via Insurance Times.
Wrapping up the week is another MGA-centric piece, this time compiled by news editor James Cowen, who explores the topic of securing capacity amid softening market conditions.
