New York attorney general Eliot Spitzer has subpoenaed three more insurers as part of his investigation into broker commissions.

Hartford Financial Services group, Aetna Inc and CIGNA Corporation all reported they had received subpoenas, said a report. The companies all said they were cooperating fully with the investigation.

Spitzer launched his investigation into whether contingent commission or profit-sharing agreements represent a conflict of interest for brokers in April of this year.

So far several brokers, including Marsh, Aon, and Willis and Chubb have received subpoenas, said the report.
