Staffware, which specialises in business process automation, has launched a series of business process "templates" to improve efficiency in the claims handling process for non-life insurance companies.

The new templates incorporate best practice in all areas of claims activity, from notification, opening, investigation and payment through to closing and recoveries.

They also allow interested third parties, such as brokers and the claimant, to track the process of the claim.

Staffware's director of financial services practice Trevor Salmon said: "We saw a real need for best practice process management templates for claims handling applications that shorten process cycles, reduce costs, increase client satisfaction and ensure companies comply with industry regulations - but without the often significant cost of developing applications from scratch."

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
