Conservative MPs are considering a manifesto pledge to privatise industrial injury claims.

Under proposals being discussed by senior Tories, companies would be forced to take out private insurance to cover the £800-million-a-year claims costs. Shadow social security spokesman David Willetts said savings would be returned to companies in the form of lower business tax or employers' national insurance contributions.


The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
