Broking division MD quits in the wake of management reshuffle

Dave Partington Towergate

Towergate Broking managing director David Partington has resigned.

Insurance Times understands Partington is keen to pursue other opportunities.

His departure follows a management shakeup at the consolidator last week that saw Mark Hodges make three senior role changes.

Graham Barr was appointed CCV chief operating officer, while CCV chief executive Michael Rea will now head up Towergate Retail and Towergate Financial.

Former retail chief executive Jonathan Walker is now integration director, working closely with Rea.

Partington has headed Towergate’s broking division, part of the retail business, since a restructure in June.

It consists of 42 offices, 1300 staff and brings in around £100m fee and commission income.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
