Sharon Welsh will be responsible for embedding Fusion’s branch-wide compliance framework
Welsh will also focus on the training and development for all staff in her newly created role.
Additionally, she will be responsible for developing processes aimed at improving customer service and operational effectiveness within the Glasgow office, where she will be based.
She will report to regional director Trevor Hillman.
Fusion has offices in London, Leeds, Bristol, Lymington and Birmingham, with the most recent, opening earlier this month, in Manchester.
Welsh joins Fusion from Arthur J Gallagher, where she worked as a client money manager.
Between June and August 22 staff from Fusion quit Towergate to join Gallagher.
At the time Towergate Underwriting chief executive Clive Nathan said Fusion was looking ahead to geographical and product expansion.
Fusion chief executive David Bruce added: “We believe that Sharon, as regional operations manager, will play an important part in our ability to deliver the standards and service that all out clients expect from us.
“Sharon brings a high level of expertise and experience and she will be a strong addition to our team, not only in Scotland but across all our UK offices.”
The Glasgow Fusion branch offers a wide range of commercial products, ranging from commercial combined, contractors insurance, motor fleet to risk management.
