Travelers has hired new chief underwriting officers (CUO) within its UK, Ireland and Lloyd’s businesses.
Ian Helmore has been appointed CUO, business insurance, and Steven Pollock is appointed CUO, professional risks, for Travelers UK.
Helmore joins Travelers from Aon were he was client, technical and operational director, and Pollock joins from Brit Insurance where he was portfolio manager for professions.
They join Nick Rnjak and David Bourk, who were appointed as CUO's for Travelers Syndicate Management (Syndicate 5000) and Travelers Ireland, respectively, last year.
Travelers Europe chief executive Sean Gende said: "We have a great opportunity to build upon our existing capabilities in the markets where we compete.
"The chief underwriting officer role will play a fundamental part in that building process as we look to better serve our agents and customers.”
