Two independent non-exec directors are to retire from Aviva's board as the group seeks to "refresh" its composition...
Aviva has announced that Derek Stevens and André Villeneuve are to retire as independent non-executive directors of the company with effect from 31 December 2006.
The plan was originally announced in Aviva's 2005 Annual Report and Accounts and is in line with the board's plans to "renew and refresh its composition".
Both directors have served on the board for more than 10 years, Stevens having joined the board in August 1995 and Villeneuve in May 1996.
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
