Experian has performed a geographic analysis of wealth which has revealed pockets of affluent people across the country. And often in the most surprising places.
The research identified a growing population of 'aspirant millionaires' - people like company directors and partners.
Areas which had a large proportion of these people included parts of Watford, Croydon and Barnet.
The company used its Financial Strategy Segments system to do the research which displays the capabilities of sophisticated classification systems. Companies can use these to obtain very specific research to identify potential clients.
Experian spokesman Kirk Dobie commented: "FSS represents an essential profiling system that businesses can use to identify consumers most likely to be interested in certain products and services."
