Angus Wilson, deputy underwriter for hull and machine at XL Brockbank syndicate 861, has resigned. Market speculation is that he will be joining former Brockbank Syndicate Management managing director Martin Reith.

Reith is heading up a new underwriting syndicate at Lloyd's on behalf of the American International Group, writing marine, non-marine and some reinsurance.

Others rumoured to be joining the new syndicate are Andrew Brooks, former class energy underwriter at Allegheny, David James, previously political risk underwriter at XL Brockbank and Mark Donald, former non-marine energy underwriter at Houston Casualty.
