Zurich London and Zurich North America have appointed two senior political risks and credit insurance underwriters to their emerging markets group.
Navaid Farooq will be based in London while David Anderson will be based in Washington D.C.
Responsible for the development of political risk and credit insurance solutions, they will draw on Zurich's reputation in the industry to link up with brokers, banks and insurers.
Executive vice president of Zurich Emerging Markets Daniel Riordan said:"We are fortunate to have these two strong underwriters join our team. David's reputation will allow him to deliver customised political risk and credit insurance solutions for our global customers.
"Navaid's experience will enable Zurich to serve better the customers that access us through our London office."
Mr Farooq was formerly associate director at Standard & Poor's London. Mr Anderson was previously the vice president at the FCIA management company, where he ran trade credit insurance for the eastern U.S.
