Bermuda-based PartnerRe said it expected claims arising from its exposure to the Asian tsunami to be between $25-$35m.

The company said its loss estimate was based on the assessment of individual treaties and was spread across most segments, particularly Worldwide Specialty, Global P&C and Life.

In addition to property losses, it said, exposure is concentrated in the personal accident, life, and marine lines of business.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
