Allianz Cornhill has appointed John Warburton as its sales and distribution manager for the company's commercial business.
Warburton's new role at Allianz Cornhill will involve overseeing the distribution channels for commercial insurance.
Warburton spent seven years at Commercial Union, including three years in Hong Kong and Beijing, opening up the Chinese insurance market for CU, followed by two years in the UK working in merger integration as an internal consultant on corporate partnerships.
On leaving CU, Warburton set up online travel insurance intermediary, gosure.com which is still trading.
Warburton joined Accenture as a strategy consultant for banks and insurance companies in 2001, a role from which he joins Allianz Cornhill.
