Arc Legal Assistance (Arc), the bespoke legal expenses insurance provider, has partnered MARAS Group (MARAS),a provider of tenant referencing services in UK.
MARAS is now to offer landlords legal costs and rent guarantee insurance administered by Arc and underwritten by Inter Partner Assistance (the ‘underwriting provision' arm for AXA Assistance).
The insurance protects the landlord by covering the legal costs of pursuing and evicting tenants and assists in the recovery of rent arrears.
In addition to the insurance cover Arc and MARAS have also developed a tenant liaison service.
In the event of a problem occurring the landlord and tenant are encouraged to identify whether the situation can be rectified before litigation and eviction proceedings.
