Argenta Syndicate Management Ltd (ASML), has said that Andrew Bathurst will be joining the company as chief executive officer. The appointment is subject to regulatory approval.
Bathurst, will join ASML from specialist reinsurance and risk intermediary, Benfield. In his new role, Bathurst will have overall responsibility for ASML's managed syndicates. He replaces Tim Riddell who resigned earlier this year.
ASML chairman, Richard Brewster, commented “We are delighted to have secured the services of someone as experienced and respected as Andrew. In conjunction with the rest of the Board, Andrew will continue the development of the company's underwriting businesses into 2008 and beyond.”
