AXA Commerical Lines and Personal Intermediary is launching a new personal lines proposition at Biba.

The new proposition is aimed at giving brokers greater access to sales functions, underwriting and claims. It will operate alongside the existing commercial lines intermediary structure.

New household products have been designed to cater for various sectors of the market, including a basic entry level product, a comprehensive mass market product and a mid net worth product as well as more niche offerings. AXA is also widening its motor underwriting and is planning the launch of a new motor product in September.

AXA managing director of personal intermediary Karen Hogg (pictured) said: “We have taken the time to listen to brokers to ensure we are providing them with the support and the products they need. We wanted to ensure that we had the right people in place to provide a consistent point of contact to brokers all around the country.

“We have worked hard to ensure that both the commercial and personal lines intermediary businesses are perfectly aligned in their structure and offering so that brokers will find it even more attractive to do business with us.”

As part of a new strategy, AXA has re-structured sales, operations and claims services into seven regional teams. A personal lines trading centre will be located in Ipswich, a motor claims team in Birmingham and a household claims team in Morecambe.
