It seems that pop princess Britney Spears is having a run-in with her UK insurers.

The scrap, which has turned into a full-blown legal action, is over a knee injury that caused her to cancel her UK tour last year.

Britney is claiming £5.2m to cover the cost of cancelling the tour. But her seven Lloyd's insurers - including Beazely Furlonge, Markel and Talbot - are refusing to pay out because she didn't declare a minor piece of surgery she had had on her knee years earlier.

Poor old Britney says she "forgot". Too busy appearing in celebrity magazines?

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
