Perhaps Michael Warman (Letters, 23 September) should take a leaf from our book. When we are kept waiting on the phone by insurers, for anything over 10 minutes, we deduct an amount from their accounts at £1 per minute, itemising the date and telephone number. To date there have been no 'comebacks' and it does make one feel a bit better.
