CNA Insurance has launched an online scheme to help brokers insure marine cargo. The scheme is live on
www.cnacargo.com . It is endorsed by Biba and available to Biba brokers.
Cnacargo.com offers brokers an online quote and the opportunity to print out a certificate of insurance.
CNA distribution and development director Alastair Blundell said CNA had developed a cargo guide, to advise brokers on insuring cargo using the website.
"The site is live now and membership will be mailed to Biba brokers next week," he said.
"It is aimed at simplifying the cargo insurance process and offers online quotations."
He said work on the project started in June this year.
Blundell said CNA had a good relationship with Biba, hence the reason for asking Biba to endorse the scheme.
CNA already works with Biba on the online Protect Travel Scheme, which offers immediate quotes for travel insurance.
